The second International Umag Open Championship featured 321 participants from 16 clubs, confirming the competition's growth and increasing prestige in the region. Among the participating clubs were nine from Slovenia and seven from Croatia, making the tournament an extremely international and cross-border event.

The competition was divided into two programmes. In the primary school programme, 179 primary school pupils competed, with girls predominating — 172 of them, while there were seven boys. In the competitive programme for older age groups, 142 competitors took part, including 115 girls and 27 boys, confirming that gymnastics remains a sport dominated by girls, while also showing that boys are playing an increasingly prominent role.

The greatest success among Croatian clubs was achieved by members of the Buzet club. Katarina Samsa, Eni Štifanić, Anja Merlak, Emi Vujović and Aneta Prodan secured silver medals in the team standings for older girls. Katarina Samsa added a bronze medal in the individual competition, thereby confirming the excellent form of the Buzet gymnastics school.

The youngest Umag gymnasts also did not fail to succeed. Sofija Bošnjak, Mya Osmančević, Maša Buršić, Nicol Filipović, Jana Kunac and Vita Rakar experienced the delights of the winner's podium, giving the home club an additional reason for satisfaction.

President of the Umag association Dražen Lekšan stated that all participants were satisfied with the organisation and their experience in Umag. He congratulated the most successful athletes and highlighted that he was particularly pleased with the progress of Istrian gymnastic hopes, thereby rounding off the successful story of the second edition of this international competition.
