The 24th edition of the international handball tournament was held in Vodic, with a total of 430 participants. This result indicates a strong interest in the competition, despite its specific nature for older players.
A total of 28 teams participated in the tournament. In the men's category, 19 teams competed, while nine teams participated in the women's category. Participants came from several countries, including Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event began with a ceremonial segment, paying tribute to the late Ante Mihić. This gesture marked remembrance for one of the key figures in the local handball community. Additionally, representatives of other deceased members of the handball community were acknowledged, expressing respect for all those who have shaped the history of the sport in the local context.
A special award is presented to the best player in the left back position. This award, like the others, is given as a sign of respect to players who have achieved outstanding results in the competition. The tournament was organized with the aim of promoting sports activity among older generations, encouraging social interaction through sport. The event provided an opportunity for participants from different parts of Croatia and abroad to meet and exchange experiences.
