Croatian Summer Performances, a traditional cultural event on Hvar, was marked by a final concert held on 11 September at 20:00. The central event, which brought together more than 300 artists and performers, took place on the main square (Pjaca) in Hvar, the largest square in Dalmatia, marking the conclusion of one of the region's most prestigious cultural events.
The programme, which included more than 25 different cultural and artistic events, was held across twelve locations in Hvar, demonstrating a wide range of offerings and the inclusion of various musical genres. Special attention was drawn to the performance by the Croatian Radio Orchestra, an institution that plays a key role in promoting jazz and orchestral creativity in Croatia.
The orchestra, known for its collaborations with numerous prominent domestic and international musicians, has consistently brought jazz to a wider audience, thereby contributing to the richness of the festival's cultural offerings. Their performance, along with that of the other acts, including the recognisable group Cubismo, created a unique atmosphere. Cubismo, known for its blend of jazz, Afro-Cuban, and Latin American rhythms, along with its energetic performance, contributed to the uniqueness of the experience, highlighting how different musical worlds can merge into a single, attractive experience.
The long-standing collaboration between the Croatian Radio Orchestra and other artists, such as those from the group Cubismo, demonstrates how different musical worlds can be connected into a unique and attractive musical experience. This collaboration, along with the participation of numerous artists, highlights the importance of collaborative creation in preserving cultural heritage and promoting Croatian music on an international level.
