A beach festival was recently held in Bibinje, an event that brought together visitors from Croatia and the Czech Republic. This cultural event, centred on the beach next to the Ribar Jere restaurant in the Frnaža location, presented a unique blend of two cultures. The main organisers of the project were the local tourist board in conjunction with the Czech travel agency Jadran za dušu (Jadran for the Soul), creating an opportunity for direct cultural exchange.
The musical programme, which began on 7 September 2026, lasted until 8 September. Performers from both countries took to the stage, creating a special atmosphere of shared enjoyment through music. This project, the fourth in the series along the Croatian coast, is primarily aimed at introducing Bibinje to Czech visitors. Through a combination of local culture, gastronomy, and lifestyle, the event seeks to create a deeper connection between the local community and international visitors.
Special significance is attached to this event by its connection to the Porta festival, which has a long tradition spanning more than six decades. This link allows guests to experience authentic Czech specialities during their stay in Bibinje, including traditional Czech beer. The event is thus conceived as a meeting place where Croatian and Czech cultures converge, allowing guests to sample local delicacies and forge new friendships in a relaxed beach atmosphere.
