The Tomislav Franjić Cultural Association (Kulturna udruga Tomislav Franjić) organised an evening of music and community titled "In the Embrace of Song". The event was held as part of the celebrations for Kalinovac Municipality Day, bringing together numerous visitors who enjoyed a rich musical programme.
The programme featured performances by the association's own tamburitza orchestra and mixed choir, which further enriched the festive atmosphere. Alongside them, the Pitomača-based band The Fusion presented themselves to the audience, while the spiritual mood of the evening was completed by the female vocal ensemble of the Parish of Saint George from Maruševac.
A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the association's new music video for the song "A Gourd Grew on the Willow". Additionally, a booklet about Tomislav Franjić was presented, a man who left an indelible mark on the cultural and social life of Kalinovac.
Ljubica Lugarov, president of the Tomislav Franjić Cultural Association, highlighted that through song and socialising they contributed to the celebration of Municipality Day and continued the tradition of publishing booklets about notable Kalinovac residents. "This year's booklet is dedicated to Tomislav Franjić, after whom the association is named," Lugarov stated, reminding of the importance of preserving the memory of prominent locals.
