A spiritual programme titled "Holywin – Holiness prevails" was held in Orahovica, gathering faithful ahead of the All Saints' Day feast on Saturday, 31 October. Churches across Croatia opened their doors to believers who spent the evening in prayer, song, celebration and community.
Two parishes joined the spiritual evening: the Parish of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Orahovica and the Parish of the Holy Spirit in Feričanci. The spiritual narrative began with a Mass in the Orahovica parish church, led by the Feričanci parish priest, Reverend Anto Ivić. He noted that the night before the feast often prompts the celebration of Halloween and urged parishioners, particularly the young, to resist pagan customs and live out their Christian faith.
Following the Mass and adoration, the local parish priest, Reverend Ivica Šoh, stated that "Holywin – Holiness prevails" are prayer vigils that remind us that holiness is not an unattainable ideal, but a call that God directs to every person.
After the Mass, a spiritual concert was held in the Orahovica multi-purpose hall, featuring youth parish choirs from Orahovica and Feričanci. Musical accompaniment was provided by Aura band, while the concert was designed and led by teacher Mateja Kuzmić. Solo performances were given by Ivana Pavelić, Ena Brajnović and Ivana Banja, and at the end of the concert, performers and audience sang the song "Velik si" together.
Reverend Ivica Šoh said his heart was filled with deep spiritual joy and gratitude, and that they had collectively witnessed the beauty, joy and fullness of the call to holiness. He thanked the City of Orahovica for providing the hall, the diligent hands that cleaned and arranged the church, the readers, all participants in the programme, the singers, the combined youth choir of the Feričanci and Orahovica parishes, and the musicians. He also thanked his fellow priests for their participation and hearing confessions, and extended special thanks to the celebrant and preacher, Reverend Anto Ivić. His greatest thanks went to choir leader Mateja Kuzmić for organising the event.
Teacher and choir leader Mateja Kuzmić received a bouquet of flowers from her parishioners at the very end. She stated that this year's Holywin in Orahovica was a special event for everyone, filled with song, community and a strong spiritual message, and that she was extremely proud of all the members of the choir and band.
