The Army of the Immaculate in Croatia has marked its 90th year of operation, with the major jubilee celebrated at the Marian shrine in Molve. The commemoration was held under the slogan "Mary's Joy – from Virtue to Holiness", as part of Marija Festa, a youth gathering.
The programme brought together members from across Croatia, from Vis to Osijek, as well as young people and interested believers. Monsignor Bože Radoš, the Bishop of Varaždin, led the solemn Eucharistic celebration. Alongside prayers, a historical presentation of the Army of the Immaculate in Croatia was also staged.
The programme included lectures, activities for young people, a play and a charity concert, while the all-day content provided an opportunity for intergenerational meeting, prayer, music and fellowship. Particular emphasis was placed on young people who come to Molve from various parts of Croatia to celebrate Mary Immaculate.
Alongside the religious programme, an invitation was issued from Našice to all veterans, family members and townspeople to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the 132nd Brigade of the Croatian Army Našice – Orahovica. The commemoration will take place on Saturday 17 October 2026, beginning with a solemn wreath-laying and candle-lighting in the very centre of the town.
Wreaths will be laid and candles lit to pay tribute to all Croatian veterans who laid down their lives for the Republic of Croatia. Following the protocol outdoors, a requiem mass will be held in the parish church.
The most exciting part of the commemoration is reserved for 13:30 at Lake Lapovac. The programme features an attractive flypast of a multi-role combat Rafale aircraft and a dynamic demonstration by a multi-role Black Hawk UH-60M helicopter. The climax of this part of the event will be the performance of the Croatian Air Force aerobatic team "Wings of Storm".
A tactical and technical display, free military-style beans, a rich programme for the youngest visitors, kite flying and a fishing school for all young nature enthusiasts are also expected. The evening at Dr Franjo Tuđman Square is reserved for Pet Tambura and a suitable gastro offering.
