In Lepoglava, the traditional concert by the Lepoglava Brass Band was held on the last day of the 30th International Lace Festival, bringing the year’s edition to a close. The concert was attended by the Čakovec Big Band, and the unity of local lace-makers and musicians continued as in previous years.
The Lepoglava Brass Band, a participant in the International Lace Festival since its inception, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The members performed under the direction of Nikola Zver, performing arrangements of global pop and rock hits. Their performance was met with frequent applause from the audience, encouraging those gathered to dance.
The Čakovec Big Band, directed by Josip Kovačević, delivered a high-quality musical experience, with the audience enjoying the jazz classics with enthusiasm and frequent applause.
The concert concluded with thanks from Mayor Željko Šoštarić to the Lepoglava Brass Band and the Čakovec Big Band for their excellent performance. The mayor expressed particular gratitude to the local musicians, who have participated for three decades, enhancing the International Lace Festival with their music, and offered his full municipal support.
