Members of the youth section of STK Jaska competed in Samobor, where the 1st Open Tournament of the Central Croatia Region and the Table Tennis Association of Zagreb County was held for younger age categories. The young Jaska table tennis players brought home nine trophies from the competition.
The most prestigious medals were won by Zrinka Pintur, who finished first in the younger cadettes category, Magdalena Preprotić, the best in the younger juniors category, and Dominik Pintur, the winner in the cadets category. This confirmed that three members of the youth section have representatives who are competing for the very top in their age groups in the new season.
In addition to the three titles, Jaska also achieved notable placements. Leon Benković took second place in the juniors category. Josip Butina in the boys category and Jakov Šimanović in the cadets category climbed to third place. Iva Krištof achieved third places in two categories — younger juniors and juniors — while Magdalena Preprotić added a third place in the juniors category, alongside her first place among the younger juniors.
However, the tournament did not bring a final placement for all young Jaska players. In the younger cadets category, Jakov Bošnjak and Igor Kolesnyk did not qualify; in the younger juniors category, Dominik Pintur, Matija Matešić and Jakov Šimanović did not qualify; and in the youngest cadettes category, Magdalena Pros did not qualify.
The results from Samobor come at a time when the young Jaska table tennis players entered the new season considerably weakened compared to the previous season. Despite this, the nine trophies from the first edition of this tournament show that the youth section of STK Jaska still has the depth and quality for performances at the regional level.
