Manchester United is planning a major defensive overhaul next summer, with Lewis Hall and Adrien Truffert as its primary targets. According to BBC reports, the club will reconsider a move for the 22-year-old Newcastle and England left-back Lewis Hall. Hall is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford.

In addition to Hall, United is monitoring 24-year-old Bournemouth and France defender Adrien Truffert. The defensive rebuild is not limited to arrivals, as 28-year-old Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez is expected to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

Real Madrid continues to show interest in signing Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori, also 24. Arsenal has, however, made it clear that an exceptional fee would be required to sell Calafiori.

Liverpool and Arsenal are simultaneously interested in Spanish defender Xavi Espart. Barcelona would reject offers for the 19-year-old Espart, who has a release clause worth more than 84 million pounds.

Newcastle wants to sign AC Milan and England defender Fikayo Tomori when the 28-year-old becomes a free agent in the summer. Arsenal is targeting a January transfer of Club Brugge forward Nicola Tresoldi, a 22-year-old valued at 42 million pounds.

Argentine midfielder Emiliano Buendia is set to sign a new contract with Aston Villa. Talks with 32-year-old Swede Victor Lindelof and 19-year-old Englishman George Hemmings are also progressing.

Manchester United continues to monitor the situation of 28-year-old Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr, for whom Galatasaray remains interested. Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro, a 27-year-old Spaniard, would seriously consider the possibility of joining Barcelona or Real Madrid.
