Albanian police are investigating the circulation of intimate recordings of women, which are said to have been captured by Adrian Hile's security cameras. The recordings were made without the women's knowledge, and Hile has admitted to the police that the cameras capturing the intimate encounters were his.

Hile was questioned at the police station in Tirana, where he stated that he had installed the cameras inside and outside the premises he used for security reasons, following break-ins in the neighbourhood. "I installed the cameras after a break-in at the neighbour's house, and the thieves were not identified. That is why I placed them inside and outside the flat, for security reasons," Hile said. He claimed that he had not installed the cameras to record intimate encounters, and that he was unaware that the recordings circulating online had been saved, nor had he uploaded or published them.

Singer Elva Haxhi appears in one of the recordings. She stated that she was unaware the encounter was being recorded. "I did not know there was a camera. I do not believe Adrian Hile published the recordings. I am reporting the person who released them. I was not aware I was being recorded," Haxsi said. According to local media, Haxhi did not report Hile for the release of the recording, but is asking the police to locate the person who released it.

The police are verifying Hile's statement and are attempting to determine where the recordings were stored, who had access to them, and who first began circulating them. It is being investigated whether anyone gained unauthorised access to the camera system or the devices on which the recordings were stored. So far, it has not been disclosed who obtained the recordings or who first began circulating them.

In Albanian media and on social media, claims have emerged that there are intimate recordings of a number of women, with a figure of 17 individuals mentioned. The police have not yet confirmed this number. It has not been established whether Hile intentionally set up the cameras to record intimate encounters without the women's knowledge. So far, it is confirmed that the cameras were Hile's, and that Elva Haxhi told the police she was unaware she was being recorded. Hile was released after several hours of questioning, and the investigation is ongoing.
