The average price of newly listed properties in the wealthiest borough in the United Kingdom has seen a drastic drop of nearly £100,000 in one month. This refers to the area of Kensington and Chelsea in London, where properties for sale have experienced a sharp reduction in listed asking prices.

This sudden price drop in the elite part of the capital reflects intense competition among sellers in many parts of the country. This situation encourages owners to significantly reduce their pricing expectations to attract buyers in a market that is becoming increasingly demanding.

According to data from the property website Rightmove, the average price of newly listed houses and flats across Britain fell by 2 per cent in the previous month. This drop represents a significant shift in the property market, although it is a smaller percentage compared to the extreme drop in individual, elite neighbourhoods.

This two per cent reduction represents the largest monthly drop in prices in August in the last eight years. The figure indicates significant changes in the dynamics of the British property market, where cooling trends are increasingly manifesting through general market indicators rather than local specifics.
