A large part of the European continent is currently gripped by a new wave of extreme heat, with reports from meteorological services confirming that temperatures are once again shattering previous records. In response to these conditions, authorities in a number of countries have issued the highest warnings for dangerous weather, with the highest level of readiness in force in 15 countries.
Among the countries on the highest level of alert are Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, and numerous Central and Western European nations. This broader regional trend begins its impact in south-western Europe, with the heatwave expected to soon reach Croatia.
Ivan Šolić has produced an analysis of the current weather conditions for Croatia, calling on citizens to exercise caution. As the week progresses, temperatures will approach extreme levels, and according to prognostic models, air temperatures could exceed 40 degrees.
The consequences of such conditions will be noticeable in everyday life. Breathing will become increasingly difficult in Dalmatia, with similar respiratory difficulties expected not only in the coastal region but also in the continental part of the country. The price for exceptionally pleasant days could be high, requiring additional attention from the population in the coming days.
