Gospodarenje stanovima d.o.o. has issued a denial in response to a statement by the City of Oroslavje and Mayor Viktor Šimunić, in which it was accused of allegedly misleading co-owners and the public. The company rejects these claims, emphasising that its actions are based on the final judgment of the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and decisions by competent authorities.

The subject of the dispute concerns questions of ownership and use of part of the properties in the area of Oro trg. By its judgment, the High Administrative Court annulled the decision of the City of Oroslavje to designate parts of the properties in question as public goods. This refers to judgment Usoz-125/2025-6, joint case Usoz-126/2025 of 26 November 2025, which annulled the Decision of the City of Oroslavje to designate parts of the properties, including the car park, as public goods for general use.

The court explicitly established that part of the land parcel (k.č.) 1605/1 is not owned by the City, but by the co-owners of the residential-commercial building. It also established that the City had adopted a decision contrary to the Act on Local Government before resolving property-law relations, deeming it unlawful and annulling it. The judgment was published in Narodne novine no. 155/2025, and the City's decision ceased to be valid on the day the judgment was published.

Gospodarenje stanovima particularly emphasises that the City's claim that no proceedings have been finally concluded is incorrect. Furthermore, they note that there are decisions by the competent county body regarding barriers and traffic signage installed by the co-owners. The company states that it does not appropriate public property, but as manager, it fulfils its obligation to protect the rights and property of the co-owners' community.

From the company's perspective, it is inappropriate for the mayor to turn serious property-law issues into a personal and political score-settling, and to level accusations of deception, involvement of interested individuals, and alleged political motives via Facebook and press releases. They stress that ownership is not determined by Facebook or political statements, but by land registers, laws, and decisions of competent courts.

Gospodarenje stanovima states that it will not participate in political spats and will continue to protect the interests of all co-owners of Oro trg 1, 2 and 3, acting exclusively on the basis of the law, decisions of co-owners, and decisions of competent authorities. The City of Oroslavje and Mayor Viktor Šimunić are called upon to present the full facts to the public, including the aforementioned judgment of the High Administrative Court, rather than shifting responsibility for their own unlawful decisions onto the manager and co-owners.
