Rotary Club Bjelovar has carried out a humanitarian action aimed at the safety and well-being of citizens, in the course of which an automated external defibrillator (AED) was donated. The action was carried out on the occasion of the observance of World Heart Day, and the device was installed at the entrance to the newly renovated Sokolana I.

Sokolana I is one of the gathering places for a large number of children, young people, athletes and citizens. The hall is used by the Bjelvar Athletics Club and the Bjelvar Gymnastics Club, as well as students from numerous primary and secondary schools, which makes it one of the most frequented locations in the city.

It is for this reason that the Rotary Club of Bjelvar identified the Sokolana as an important location for the installation of a device that, in the event of sudden cardiac arrest, could be important in providing assistance until the arrival of the emergency medical service. By donating the AED device, they wished to further contribute to the safety of all users of Sokolana I.

In addition to the donation, the action had an educational purpose. Representatives of the Rotary Club of Bjelvar stated that they wanted to remind citizens of the importance of caring for heart health and timely response in emergency situations.

The Rotary Club of Bjelvar continues to implement projects that aim to make a concrete contribution to the local community and leave a lasting impact in the environment in which it operates. "Create Lasting Impact" is the message with which the Rotary Club of Bjelvar continues its humanitarian work.
