The Donja Stubica branch of the Croatian Red Cross (Gradsko društvo Crvenog križa Donja Stubica) is organising a voluntary blood donation drive in collaboration with the Croatian Institute of Transfusion Medicine (Hrvatski zavod za transfuzijsku medicinu). The event is scheduled for 2 September, and participants are asked to arrive at the designated time. The drive will take place at the Zagi Hotel in Oroslavje, where conditions will be provided for the safe and orderly collection of blood.
All interested donors are urged to prepare for their arrival, with the reminder that they must bring their personal identity cards. Donors who wear glasses are advised to bring them as well, as they will be needed when completing the questionnaire. This step is crucial for accurately filling out medical documentation, which is key to ensuring the safety and quality of the donated blood.
The schedule for the drive runs from 13:30 to 18:30. A break is planned from 15:30 to 16:00, during which time rest will be provided for donors and staff. This pause allows for further preparation of the venue and equipment for the continuation of the drive, ensuring that all participants have optimal conditions for taking part.
This drive represents an important step in ensuring a sufficient supply of blood for healthcare facilities. By participating, donors contribute to the preservation of health and the saving of lives, thereby assuming a significant social responsibility. The event offers an opportunity for anyone wishing to support the community in this humanitarian way to make a positive difference.
