Two people died in a traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday around 19:00 on the DC54 road in the area of Obrovac, the Zadar Police Department reported.
According to initial information from the police, two passenger vehicles collided at a junction near the former bauxite plant. Two people died as a result of injuries sustained, while two others were taken by ambulance to the General Hospital in Zadar.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and police officers conducted an on-site investigation overseen by the deputy county state attorney.
The section of the DC54 road was closed to traffic due to the investigation, with vehicles being diverted via detours through Obrovac.
