The Krapina-Županija Police reported that ten traffic accidents were recorded over the weekend. Of the total, five accidents resulted in no injuries, while in the remaining five cases, people were injured. The most severe outcome was a fatality, which occurred in Krapina, where a driver crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a heavy vehicle, losing his life in the process.

The police processed several offences related to public order and peace over the weekend. A notable case occurred in Oroslavje, where police officers found drivers under the influence of alcohol. One driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.30 per mille, and the other 2.01 per mille. This represents a significant exceedance of the permitted limit, constituting a serious offence that endangers road safety.

In addition to traffic offences, police recorded other infractions. Two incidents of damage to property were recorded, and two offences related to the illegal possession of drugs were noted. As part of preventive measures, citizens were given the opportunity to participate in a campaign titled 'Less Weapons – Fewer Tragedies', during which 15 items of ammunition were voluntarily handed in. This contributed to an increase in community safety.

During the past weekend, one incident involving a fire was also recorded. A fire broke out in a personal vehicle due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring, which ignited the vehicle. Firefighters intervened, and the damage was limited to the vehicle itself. In addition, the police recorded one case of assault against a public official, indicating the need for further checks and field work to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent similar incidents in the future.
