Croatian police carried out an operation during which it was established that three drivers were operating motor vehicles under the influence of alcohol. All three breached the prescribed limit, with police intervening on the spot to prevent the dangerous vehicles from moving further. The operation was conducted with strict control, and the results indicated serious traffic offences.

The most severe offence was recorded involving a 56-year-old man. A blood alcohol level of 2.28 per mille was measured, which is the highest level recorded among the drivers apprehended in this case. Due to the seriousness of the offence, the 56-year-old was detained at the police station, where he remained pending the determination of all circumstances surrounding the incident.

The second driver apprehended, aged 54, also breached the law. His alcohol level was 2.03 per mille. In addition to breaking the law, the 54-year-old was driving a vehicle without registration, which further exacerbated the situation. The court imposed a fine of 1,180 euros, a six-month prison sentence, and a ban on driving vehicles of all categories for a period of six months for this offence.

The third driver apprehended, aged 41, also breached the law. Although his alcohol level was lower, at 2.01 per mille, he still violated the regulations. Similar to the previous case, he received a penalty, but it was less severe. The 41-year-old was fined 1,320 euros, with a ban on driving vehicles of category B for a period of three months.

These incidents highlight the importance of adhering to the law, specifically the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police urge all drivers to exercise caution and responsibility, and to observe legal regulations to ensure safety on the roads.
