During the past day, one traffic accident involving a driver under the influence of alcohol was recorded in the area of the Police Directorate. Police officers stopped a vehicle on Wednesday, 19 August, at approximately 23:20. Upon inspection, it was found that the driver, aged 35, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Breath testing revealed a concentration of 0.55 per cent. A video recording from the scene of the incident is available. According to available information, legal proceedings have been initiated against the driver. Under current regulations, a fine of 390 euros is prescribed for this offence. In addition to the fine, the driver faces a ban on driving. This measure aims to prevent further dangerous behaviour in traffic and to ensure the safety of all participants in traffic. Police officers continue to carry out intensified checks to prevent further offences and ensure the safety of traffic on the roads in the region.
