The Police Directorate for Krapina-Zagorje has published a report on the security situation in the past 24 hours, in which all recorded incidents in its jurisdiction are listed. In that period, two traffic accidents, four criminal offences and one fire safety offence were recorded.
The first accident occurred in the settlement of Pustodol, where a personal vehicle hit a dog. The incident occurred because the animal was left unattended by its owner. The accident resulted in material damage, and none of the participants were injured.
A more serious accident was recorded in Zlatar, where three personal vehicles collided. The cause of the accident was speed inappropriate to the vehicles. One person sustained minor injuries in the incident, after which they received medical assistance.
Regarding criminal offences, the police recorded two cases of ordinary theft. In addition, one case of theft was recorded, indicating an increased need for surveillance of property in certain parts of the county.
In addition to property crimes, one case of fraud and one case of unauthorised use of personal data were recorded. These cases are under criminal investigation, with police gathering additional evidence to establish all the circumstances of the incidents.
In the field of fire safety, an offence of the Fire Protection Act was recorded in Poljanica Bistrička. A man was burning waste in an open area, which led to the spread of fire to dry grass and shrubs in the vicinity. The fire quickly spread to a nearby outbuilding.
Firefighters from the Zagreb Public Fire Brigade, the Zabak branch, and the volunteer fire brigade of Marija Bistrika responded to the call. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire and prevent the further spread of the flames. The incident served as a reminder of the strict ban on open fires and flammable materials in open spaces, which has been in force since 1 June.
