At the end of September this year, 3,061 unemployed people were registered with the Croatian Employment Agency (Hrvatski zavod za zapošljavanje), according to data published by the Regional Offices in Sisak and Kutina.

Compared with the previous month, the number of unemployed fell by two per cent. This continues the trend of decreasing registered unemployment in the area covered by these two offices.

The decline is significantly more pronounced on an annual basis. Compared with the same period last year, unemployment has fallen by 27.4 per cent, which is among the largest recorded decreases in recent times.

Despite the overall drop, Sisak still has the highest number of unemployed people. The city remains the centre with the largest number of registered unemployed in the observed area.

The data refers to the records of the Croatian Employment Agency and covers users of the Regional Offices in Sisak and Kutina. A more detailed structure of the unemployed by age, gender or occupation was not published in this data.
