The traditional cultural event, the 18th Kundek Days, was held in Cestinec on Saturday. The programme was dedicated to the great philanthropist Djura Kundek, gathering numerous lovers of tradition.
The hosts, members of the KUD 'Djura Kundek' from Cestinec, opened and closed the event. The folk evening thus provided an opportunity to showcase the richness of Croatian heritage, with three guest troupes performing alongside the hosts.
Members of the KUD 'Klinča Sela' performed the choreography 'I Send My Old Man'. The KUD 'Laz' from Laz Bistrički presented songs and dances of Hrvatsko Zagorje, while the KUD 'Preporod' from Dugo Selo presented a programme from Posavina. Each of the guest troupes was given the opportunity to showcase their repertoire, thereby enriching this year's edition of the event.
Following the performances, the guests were presented with commemorative certificates, bringing the official part of the programme to a close. The gathering of participants and visitors then continued with a shared drink, traditionally marking another year of the event's holding in Cestinec.
