The centre of Suhoplj was transported back in time once again on 25 September. The Archaeology Days introduced visitors to the way of life from prehistory to the Middle Ages through educational points and workshops.

The programme was structured around four historical periods, a concept rooted in the rich archaeological heritage of the Suhoplj area. The area contains archaeological sites from four periods: prehistory, the Celtic and Roman periods, and the Middle Ages.

The president of the KrEdA association, Natasa Košić Lakuš, highlighted that they had created points where children could read, learn, and experience what life was like in those times. She thanked all the participants, donors and partners who helped organise the event, among them the municipality of Suhoplj and the local tourist board.

In addition to KrEdA, the local primary school, the kindergarten, and the local school in Lukač also prepared their own points and activities. A wooden carousel powered by human effort attracted the attention of the youngest visitors, while older children had the opportunity to ride horses brought by Blacky Monte Ranch.

Local family farms also joined in, donating apples. The local association of retirees, whose members had prepared refreshments for the visitors, also took part in the programme.

The Archaeology Days brought together education, play and socialising. The youngest were able to experience history not only through books, but by living it for a few hours.
