The town of Cres presented its multimedia guide, Renaissance of Cres, at the final conference of the European project Value Plus in Ravenna. The guide leads users through 11 key points of the town’s Renaissance history and heritage. The role of host and narrator is held by the local philosopher Frane Petri.
The conference, held on 18 June in the Sale Martini hall of the MAR (Museo d'Arte della Città di Ravenna) complex, brought together all partners of the project, which is co-funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia cross-border cooperation programme.
The delegation from Cres brought several VR headsets, allowing partners to virtually walk through Renaissance Cres. The presentation, according to the town of Cres, was met with great enthusiasm by the participants.
Value Plus has spent three years focused on preserving and promoting cultural and natural heritage through sustainable tourism models, as well as connecting cultural destinations in Croatia and Italy. Representatives from CRES and IDECO participated in the session dedicated to cross-border itineraries and the joint platform, while all partners presented their pilot actions.
The lead partner, the Municipality of Ravenna, summarised the project in a review titled 'Value Plus: Three Years in 20 Minutes', outlining the project's four work packages. The event concluded with a meeting of the steering board, where administrative steps for the official closure of the project were agreed upon.
