The Croatian House opened the new 26/27 season with a concert by the Croatian Radio Television Choir, conducted by Tomislva Fačini.

The opening remarks were delivered by Andrea Viđak Midžor. She conveyed greetings from the director of the Croatian House, Vanessa Kleve, who was unable to attend the opening, and expressed gratitude to the attendees for their presence.

Viđak Midž highlighted the creation of new artistic names and announced numerous projects and competitions in preparation. She also announced the opening of the new Jakov Grgo Hall, which will provide a new space for musicians, artists, and the public. Classical music will remain at the centre of the programme, which will serve as a meeting place for different generations.

Tomislav Fačini stated that it was a pleasure to perform at the Croatian House. He emphasised the importance of the atmosphere for a cappella concerts, noting that the performers, as he said, carry their instruments within themselves. The programme was enriched by the poetry of Vladimir Nazor, with which they carefully communicated with the audience.

The head of the Department for Culture in Split, Silvana Buril, spoke. She highlighted the importance of music and cultural life in the city, stating that the Croatian House is a space for Split's artists who work on European stages. She added that the House simultaneously presents the world to Split and gives the city the opportunity to be part of the European cultural scene. She wished the Croatian House a successful new season, with many excellent concerts, a full house, and many new encounters between artists and the public.

The head of the Department for Culture, Sport and Technical Culture, Mislav Vušković, spoke. He highlighted the interweaving of culture in the Republic and the importance of cooperation between the Split-Dalmatia County and the Croatian House. He assessed that the Croatian House has placed Split-Dalmatia County on the concert map of Croatia, Europe, and the world, which, he noted, was demonstrated by the numerous festivals held over the past year.

The audience enjoyed the performance of the Croatian Radio Television Choir and the programme dedicated to Croatian choral creation.
