Poet Malvina Mileta from Labin has been recognised at a competition organised by the association Writers and Literature (Pisci i književnost). Her poem titled "The Name of True Love" secured second place in the contest, earning her a spot among the winning texts.
The selected work will be published in the 60th anthology, titled "Dreams of Memory: The Most Beautiful Poetry, Part 4". A printed edition of this collection, featuring the award-winning works, is scheduled for release in November 2026. The competition results and the list of all winning works are publicly available on the organiser's official website and social media channels.
The author expressed satisfaction that her work was recognised among the numerous submissions received. Malvina Mileta believes this award provides additional encouragement and serves as confirmation that her verses are reaching readers.
The competition by the Writers and Literature organisation is led by editor-in-chief Krune Šafranić. This initiative regularly brings together authors from Croatia and the wider region, with the clear aim of promoting contemporary poetic and prose creativity across the former Yugoslav space.
This recognition further underscores the active participation of the Labin literary figure in cultural life, while awaiting the official publication of the anthology that will gather the best works selected in this year's competition.
