The 30th, jubilee edition of PoZiCa, a collection of students' literary and visual works, was presented on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at the Central Branch of the Poreč City Library. PoZiCa was launched as a joint project of the partner cities of Poreč, Zabok and Crikvenica, arising from the connection of the three cities and their cultural institutions.
Attendees included students, their mentors, principals of schools in Poreč and the Poreč region, representatives of schools and cities, and Loris Peršurić, mayor of the City of Poreč-Parenzo. The mayor congratulated the students, mentors, schools and library on their 30-year tradition.
The jubilee edition features literary works from the Laurus nobilis competition. The winners of the 30th Laurus nobilis Award are Lorel Parenzan, Anita Manzini, Natali Bogojević and Tihana Melon. Special mentions were awarded to Lilit Goleš, Emili Matošević, Sara Vujčić, Virginia Vendrame, Daria Manzini, Fran Šimunović, Sandi Herak, Angelina Milić, Tihana Melon and Paola Perhat.
The visual arts section of the collection includes works by Chiara Mačinić, Lilit Goleš, Ines Beaković, Lana Mijatović, Jane Kosić, Una Poropat, Adijana Dizdarić, Ezra Kolacija, Roža Rakovac and Anabel Đaković. The visual works were exhibited in the library space, and the Poreč City Library displayed all Poreč visual works, which can be viewed until 15 November 2026, when the Croatian Book Month programme concludes.
Each city independently runs a competition and selects works by its own students, which are later included in the joint collection. In Poreč, this is the Laurus nobilis award; in Zabok, it is the Mala nagrada Gjalski; and in Crikvenica, it is Miće sunce. The publishing role rotates annually among the city libraries, so this year's edition was published by the Crikvenica City Library, while the next edition will be prepared by the Poreč City Library with the support of the City of Poreč.
Following the welcome speeches, the awarded and specially mentioned students read their literary works. The programme was hosted by students from the Mate Balota Secondary School in Poreč, Anika Blažević and Lana Koraca. The musical part of the programme was completed by students from the Poreč Art School. Andrija Ptiček, a third-year student, performed on the accordion, playing the song 'Little finger' under the mentorship of teacher Diego Vitasović, while Vito Gorički, a sixth-year guitar student, performed the composition 'Trilogy' under the mentorship of teacher Sandra Šustereiter.
The Poreč City Library also announced a new, 31st competition for the Laurus nobilis Award for 2027.
