Pučko otvoreno učilište Buje (Buje Public Open School) is joining the 2026 Science Film Festival this year. The festival aims to bring current topics in science, technology and artificial intelligence to a wider audience through documentary and science films. This year's edition is dedicated to the theme "Artificial Intelligence and a Sustainable Future".
Several films exploring the increasingly complex relationship between humans and technology, the impact of the virtual world, the development of humanoid robots and the challenges of modern society will be screened at the POU Buje cinema hall. The film programme begins on Tuesday, 10 November, with a screening of "NeoNature: Let's protect what is real while we learn to imagine" at 18:00, while the screening of "Plastic Fantastic" is scheduled for 18:10.
The second day of the festival will take place on Friday, 13 November. The programme for that day begins at 18:00 with the film "Virtual influencers – they say what their creators want". At 18:30, the film "My husband continues to live as a UI" is scheduled, followed by the evening's final film, "Humanoid robots: Between media dust and reality", starting at 19:20.
All screenings will take place at the cinema hall of the Pučko otvoreno učilište Buje (Buje Public Open School), and admission to all screenings is free. Organisers invite all interested parties to attend the screenings.
