Marko Perković Thompson is preparing a major charity concert to take place in Vukovar. The musical event has a distinct charitable character, with all ticket revenue directed to a project for students. The concert is scheduled for 29 August.
The funds raised will be invested in the completion of the 'Sveti Josip' (St Joseph) student dormitory in Zagreb. The project provides accommodation for 60 students from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina who require additional support during their studies. The dormitory can accommodate approximately 60 students.
The complex includes a public library, classrooms, and a canteen. The facility also houses offices for the salesian administration. This infrastructure project is crucial for providing suitable living and study conditions for the target group of young people.
Public interest in the concert is immense. Around 80,000 tickets were sold on the first day. This figure demonstrates the significant support Thompson enjoys, while simultaneously highlighting the charitable cause promoted by the event.
