A video showing primary school pupils in Uganda rehearsing the song "Gospin dom" has been published on the website of the Father Ante Gabrić Foundation. The footage was created by Mira, a colleague of the Croatian Catholic priest and Jesuit missionary, who shared the material to draw attention to the mission's work in that African country.
The song "Gospin dom", written by Marko Perković Thompson, appears on his new album "Hodočasnik" and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Thompson shared the footage of the girls on his official Facebook page, further popularising this humanitarian project. The pupils performed the song at a school in Morulem, a settlement located in the impoverished Karamoja region.
The Karamoja region is known for extreme poverty, where many children walk barefoot because their families cannot afford basic foodstuffs, let alone footwear such as trainers. Work in the area is carried out by the mission of Don Gabrijel Jukić, within the framework of which the Father Ante Gabrić Foundation (OAG) operates and provides assistance to the local population.
The OAG Foundation calls for support for Don Gabrijel Jukić's mission and other humanitarian activities in Uganda. Donations can be made to the foundation's account with the description "Donation – Uganda MZ".
