Burnley has officially terminated its contract with Finotive One, a company describing itself as a trading ecosystem, just two days before the start of the new Championship season. The decision comes at a time when the club was set to unveil its away kits for the match against West Ham, with the Finotive One deal having been active for only 42 days.

The club immediately responded to the situation by offering full refunds or kit exchanges to all fans who had already purchased 2026/2027 season shirts featuring the Finotive One logo on the front. Kits with that sponsor have already been removed from the club’s website and were not available in the physical store ahead of Sunday’s match.

This change comes as Burnley unveiled a new cream away kit two weeks ago. The promotional video for that kit featured high-profile guests including former NFL player and minority investor J.J. Watt, cricketer James Anderson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. That promotional material is now outdated and no longer reflects the club’s actual sponsorship arrangements.

Although the situation caused some confusion, fans are likely to accept the offer to exchange their kits. The new sponsor for the shirt is Vertu Motors, a British car dealership, bringing the short-lived partnership with Finotive One to a close.
