Ludbreg will receive the new Sara Kolak Sports Park on 18 August, with its grand opening serving as an opportunity to mark significant local and sporting anniversaries. That day simultaneously celebrates sixty years of Radio Ludbreg and a decade since the winning of the gold medal in the javelin throw at the Rio de Janeiro Games.

The central part of the programme, titled "Radio's Sixty – Sara's Ten", begins at 18:00 with the unveiling of an artistic graffiti mural in Ban Jelačić Street. The main event is scheduled for 19:00, when the Croatian athlete herself will officially open the sports complex bearing her name. Following the opening, Sara Kolak will address the assembled crowd, and from 20:00 visitors can expect a musical performance by the band Tragovi.

The transformed area around the NK Podravina stadium now encompasses a range of modern facilities. The complex includes an athletics track with field event areas, a basketball court, a cricket pitch, and an outdoor fitness centre. A specially designated and fenced area for roller skating and ice skating has been highlighted, while new tennis courts are in the final stages of construction.

More than 540,000 euros has been invested in the previous works and equipping of the entire complex. The event organisers are the Association of Sports Associations of the City of Ludbreg, the Centre for Culture and Information "Dragutin Novak", Radio Ludbreg, and the City of Ludbreg. Entry to all facilities during the ceremony is free.
