The renovation of the open-air gym at the Pakrac Sports and Recreation Centre has begun. The worn-out equipment will be replaced with new equipment, with the project valued at a total of 15,500 euros.
The town of Pakrac is implementing the project with financial support from the Croatian Lottery. At the end of April this year, the town secured 12,000 euros from the Croatian Lottery for equipping public sports and recreation areas and playgrounds. The remaining 3,500 euros were secured from the town budget.
Several pieces of equipment have been removed, and the installation of new equipment is currently underway. The project also includes the renovation of the existing exercise area. The new equipment will allow users to exercise more effectively and safely outdoors.
The foundation preparation is being carried out by the company Arhiz d.o.o., while the supplier and installer of the new equipment is the company Vojtek oprema d.o.o. The completion of the works is expected by next week, with the final deadline dependent on weather conditions, said Dino Briški, head of the Construction Department.
The renovation of the gym is part of the town’s efforts to improve outdoor recreation conditions. The existing exercise area will be renovated, and the new equipment is expected to be safer and of higher quality than the worn-out equipment.
