The City of Senj has been awarded €50,000 from the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds' Programme for Support to Mountainous and Hilly Areas for the continuation of the renovation of the Čolika playground in Sveti Juraj. The total value of the planned works amounts to €215,000, with the City covering the difference from this year's budget.
The project includes an outdoor gym, an outdoor classroom and a children's playground. The aim is to transform the space in Sveti Juraj into a place for sport, recreation and socialising for children, young people and other residents.
The City will soon launch a public tender to select the contractor, after which work will begin.
"It is particularly important to us to invest in our settlements and create quality conditions for children, young people and all our citizens. The continuation of the renovation of the Čolika playground in Sveti Juraj is yet another example of investment in facilities that will benefit the entire community," emphasised the mayor, Željko Tomljanović.
The funding agreements were handed over in Dugopolje, where the Minister of Regional Development and European Union Funds, Nataša Mikuš Žigman, distributed a total of 59 contracts worth €2.43 million for development projects in the assisted and mountainous and hilly areas of the Lika-Senj, Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties.
