Work is underway in Senj on the comprehensive renovation and modernisation of the children's playground located within the Tennis sports and recreational centre. This investment by the town of Senj continues its efforts to improve spaces designated for children and young people.
The project involves the dismantling and removal of the existing worn-out equipment, which, due to long-term use and wear, no longer meets the safety standards. Following the removal of the old equipment, preparatory, earthwork, and concrete works will be carried out.
Following the preparatory works, the installation of certified rubber flooring will take place, along with the installation of new, safe, and modern children's play equipment. The works are being carried out by the local firm Arija.
The total value of the contracted construction works is 48,337.50 euros. The Ministry of Demography and Youth is contributing 48 per cent of the project's value, while the remaining funds are secured from the town's budget.
The completion of all scheduled works is expected by 15 October of this year. Upon the completion of the works, the youngest residents will have access to a fully renovated, safer, and better-equipped space for play and socialising.
The town of Senj is continuously investing in infrastructure for children and young people, with the aim of creating the best possible and safest conditions for their growth and the use of their free time outdoors.
