The girls from Mladost, a club based in Ivanč, won the bronze medal at the basketball tournament in Županja. The competition, held in the girls' U13 category, saw participants competing for top honours in front of an assembled crowd.
In the semi-final, the girls from Ivanč faced the home team, Županja. Although they fought hard, they suffered a 19-15 defeat in that crucial match, which eliminated them from the race for the gold medal.
Despite the loss in the semi-final, the team did not give up the fight for higher places. In the match for third place, the Mladost girls showed excellent play and defeated the team from Studio, securing the bronze medal.
The club from Ivanč is already planning new steps in the development of young talents. It is announced that the basketball club Mladost will host its own tournament in September. This will promote the development of girls in basketball by providing them with additional competitive challenges. This step represents a significant move in promoting basketball among the youngest and strengthening the local sports community through systematic work with young people.
