The mayor of Crikvenia, Ivana Matošić Gašpar, hosted a reception for the members of the women's basketball club ARXC on Tuesday, 13 October. The reception was held in recognition of the outstanding results achieved by the local players at the Croatian championship finals.
The greatest success was achieved by the U11 team, which secured the title of champions of Croatia in mini basketball. In doing so, the local players confirmed the quality of the club's work in the youngest age categories.
The final tournament, where the title was secured, took place in Crikvenia in late April. The local venue thus provided the backdrop for one of the most significant results in the club's history.
Ten teams participated in the final tournament, further underscoring the weight of the achievement. The title of champions of Croatia in mini basketball was secured by the highest-quality team from across the country.
The reception offered an opportunity to acknowledge the effort, work, and results achieved by the young athletes. The city of Crikvenia thereby demonstrated its support for the development of women's basketball in the youngest age groups.
