The players of Radnik from Koprivnica have returned to Krißevce, where on Wednesday they held training sessions at the Gradski stadium. The club's decision is the result of a successful football camp for girls, which confirmed the existence of significant interest in women's football in that part of the region. The club is thus confirming that it is once again in Križevce, where it has adequate conditions for work.
The club's president and coach, Nikolina Nottersberg, stated that the potential of women's football in this area is extremely strong, broad and large. The girls showed great love for the sport, which prompted the club's management to make a decision to approach the players. In order to meet the needs of young talents, the club has allowed the girls to have at least one training session a week directly in Križevce.
A special contribution to this initiative is the fact that a considerable number of girls come from the Križevac side. The tradition of women's football in that city is deep, as the Križevac region was once the home of the women's football club Plamen Križevac. That club was led by Dragica Slavečki, and Nikolina Nottersberg herself finished her career at Plamen from Križevac.
Radnik's return to Križevce thus represents a continuation of the region's rich football history. By establishing regular training sessions at the Gradski stadium, the club not only maintains the continuity of work, but also expands the player base. This approach allows local talents to develop in a professional environment, with the support of experienced coaches and an organised infrastructure.
