A working meeting between the leadership of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Football Association (ŽNS) was held at the Imperial hotel in Dubrovnik and lasted more than two hours. The HNS delegation consisted of Secretary General Josip Tomaško and Head of the Competitions Department Anđelko Ivanjko, who were welcomed by the heads of the county association led by President Ivo Jerković.
Alongside Jerković, the leadership of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County FA included Secretary Srđan Vrtikapa and Vice-Presidents Blaž Pezo, who is also the County Mayor of Dubrovnik-Neretva, and Rade Jurković. Other members of the county association’s Executive Board were also present, including Ile Topuzović, who is also a Vice-President of the Croatian Football Federation. Other Executive Board members present were Pero Kapetanić, Ivan Pavlović, Tudor Didović and Mato Kalafatović.
Particular emphasis was placed on the analysis of statistical data from the COMET information system, which tracks trends in the number of players and coaches. Participants discussed proposals for improving all levels of competition and the development of football infrastructure at all levels. The conversation also covered the coach licensing system, player registration processes and the implementation of mandatory medical examinations.
Ivo Jerković, President of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County FA, extended an official and personal thank you to the guests from Zagreb. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the gentlemen from the HNS, Tomaško and Ivanjko. They are people we are in daily contact with and with whom we have truly wonderful cooperation," Jerković stated.
Jerković emphasised that without the constant support of the Croatian Football Federation, the human accessibility and sincere effort of everyone in the umbrella organisation led by President Marijan Kustić, it would have been harder to overcome the daily challenges faced by football in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
The HNS conducts regular official visits to county football associations and clubs across Croatia. The purpose of these visits is to strengthen connections with the base of Croatian football, gain direct insight into the functioning of football environments and exchange views on current challenges, needs and opportunities for the further development of Croatian football as a whole.
