A significant development has been recorded in the sporting life of Slavonski Brod with the establishment of the new football club HNK BSK. This club was founded on the basis of the previously operating club NK Vinogorac, thereby encompassing continuity in its work, as well as a clear vision for future development. The club immediately set ambitious goals upon its establishment, with the aim of becoming a leading sports project in the city, which requires not only sporting but also organisational support from the community.
Currently, HNK BSK comprises 192 children, which testifies to the great interest among young people in playing football. The children are distributed across 11 different competitive categories, which allows for a more comprehensive approach to skill development. Although most categories are already active in competition, one category in the school of football is not yet in operation, indicating a need for additional steps in its launch. Nevertheless, the structure of the club is already oriented towards a more professional approach, with an emphasis on transparency in operations and modern organisation.
The key element of the new club is technological modernisation, which includes the creation of a new website and the development of a mobile application. These tools are presented as beneficial to members, parents, and fans, thereby facilitating communication and the tracking of activities within the club. In addition, a key part of the strategy is the use of city infrastructure, including the city stadium on the Sava. This decision, however, does not imply the automatic displacement of other local clubs, such as Marsonia, but is based on cooperation and respect for existing sports structures.
In addition, a key aspect is the organisational stability, which is ensured by the club's deputy president, Domagoj Vukšić. His role, supported by the city's institutions, is crucial for the long-term success and stability of the club. This structure, combined with clearly defined goals, lays the foundation for the long-term development and sustainability of HNK BSK, thereby ensuring not only sporting but also social contributions to the community.
