NK Prugovac faces a difficult squad overhaul ahead of the upcoming season. Although the club has drawn important conclusions from the previous period, the squad structure will require significant changes to maintain competitiveness in the higher tiers of competition.
The previous first-division part of the season, played in the Elite League, left positive marks. NK Prugovac played the spring part of last season exceptionally well, which resulted in a key success – the club managed to avoid relegation from the league. This success allowed the club to retain its status in the top county competition.
To ensure the stability and future of the club, an extraordinary general meeting of NK Prugovac was held at the end of July. At this meeting, it was decided to involve the wider public in the process of deciding the club's fate. All interested residents were included in public discussions on further development and strategy, aiming to ensure a democratic and transparent approach to management.
One of the most important personnel changes concerns the bench. Coach and player Zebić left NK Prugovac, bringing an end to his many years of collaboration with the club. Zebić has taken on a new commitment and moved to NK Tomislav from Drnje, where he will continue his coaching career.
NK Prugovac is located in a town primarily known for its vineyards. However, the football part of that community strives to build its own identity outside of agricultural tradition, relying on local support and ambitious sporting goals for the future.
