Igor Budiša has been appointed as the new head coach of the first team at Nogometni klub Dugopolje (Dugopolje Football Club). He has signed a contract binding him to the club until the summer of 2028, and he takes up his new post at the Hrvatskih vitezova stadium.
Budiša holds a UEFA Pro licence, the highest coaching qualification in European football. During his playing career, he represented Osijek, Šibenik, RNK Split, Eintracht Trier, Zalaegerszeg, Xanthi and Jiangsu Sainty, gaining experience in both domestic and international football.
In his coaching career, he has managed Đakovo Croatia, Međimurje, Zrinski Osječko 1664 and BSK Bijelo Brdo. His greatest success came with Zrinski Osječko 1664 in the 2023/24 season, when he secured second place in the SuperSport Prva NL. In that season, he achieved 26 wins and 81 points in 33 league matches.
In the new technical staff, Ivica Buljubašić will serve as assistant coach for the first team, having previously worked with Budiša at Zrinski Osječko 1664. Vedran Čović will be the goalkeeping coach, while Marko Boduljak will be the fitness coach.
Dugopolje thus begins a new coaching cycle with Budiša leading the technical staff, and the contract until 2028 provides the club with long-term stability in team planning.
