Representatives of the Croatian Football Association (HNS) visited the Međimurje Football Association, where they held a working meeting with local officials. The HNS delegation was hosted by Kristijan Antolović, president of the Međimurje Football Association.
The HNS delegation included secretary-general Josip Tomaško, head of the Competitions Department Anđelko Ivanjko, HNL competition commissioner Antonio Grahovac and youth competitions commissioner Domagoj Tomaško. From the Međimurje side, alongside president Antolović, the meeting was attended by secretary-general Igor Križarić, technical secretary Darko Jambrović and county instructor Damir Lepen Jurak. Vice-presidents Mišel Ganzer, Ivan Kos and Miroslav Novinščak, as well as executive board members Saša Grkavac and Nenad Novak, were also present.
The discussions centred on issues of particular importance for the functioning of amateur football in Međimurje County. The parties discussed possibilities for improving the competition system at all levels, as well as strengthening the football base and the specific needs of clubs and associations in their daily operations.
Special attention was given to the operational and administrative challenges faced by local clubs. Key topics included coach licensing, player registration and the implementation of mandatory medical examinations. Views were exchanged on the current state of affairs in these areas, potential improvements and next steps.
Regular visits to county football associations and clubs are part of the HNS's efforts to strengthen its connection with local football communities. Such meetings provide direct insight into the challenges faced by clubs and associations and offer a platform for jointly finding solutions.
