The town of Czagrenica continued its active support of the local economy through the implementation of the Programme of Measures for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship for the year 2026 within the town. In the framework of this programme, a total of 65 entrepreneurs received non-repayable financial support, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness and stability of local businesses.
The ceremonial signing took place in the Zora hall in Crikvenica, where representatives of the town and entrepreneurs marked this important step in the development of the economy. With the signing of the agreements, the planned measures officially began to be implemented, with funds allocated to specific projects submitted by entrepreneurs in the tender procedure.
The total amount of grants awarded exceeded €80,000. These financial resources represent a significant stimulus for small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling them to reinvest in their own operations, expand capacity, or modernise their business. The town aimed to demonstrate support for all segments of the local entrepreneurial sector through this programme.
The analysis of applications showed that the greatest interest was shown in two key areas. First, there was high demand for measures promoting women’s entrepreneurship, indicating a growing number of women starting their own business initiatives in Crikvenica. Second, entrepreneurs applied for the greatest amount of funding for the purchase of machinery and equipment, indicating a need for technical modernisation and an increase in the efficiency of production or services.
This allocation of funds is part of the town of Crikvenica’s strategy for sustainable economic development. Through targeted support for key sectors and specific groups, the town aims to create favourable conditions for business, retaining existing jobs and stimulating the creation of new jobs in the local community.
