Virovitica is the host of the third and fourth rounds of the WABA League, the best women's junior basketball league in South-East Europe. The matches are played in a tournament format to reduce the costs of competition, and the teams of Cinkarna Celje from Slovenia, Futurosa Força from Italy, and Studio Zagreb have arrived.

Two teams represent Croatia in this competition: Studio Zagreb and ŽKK Virovitica. The first match is scheduled for Friday at 19:00 at the Primary School of Vladimir Nazor, where Cinkarna from Celje will face the local side, ŽKK Virovitica.

The team of ŽKK Virovitica has been affected by illnesses and injuries, and its players are, on average, a year younger than the established teams. Nevertheless, the club has recorded two acceptable defeats in the first two rounds. The coach of ŽKK Virovitica is Danijel Domišljanović.

The match schedule includes matches on Saturday: Studio Zagreb vs Cinkarna Celje at 16:00, and ŽKK Virovitica vs Futura Força at 19:00. On Sunday, two matches are scheduled: Cinkarna Celje vs Futura Força at 11:00, and ŽKK Virovitica vs Studio Zagreb at 14:00.

The tournament format allows all matches to be played in one location, thereby reducing the travel costs for the clubs. Virovitica is thus hosting three foreign teams and one domestic team in a single weekend, with the domestic team concluding its campaign on Sunday with a match against Studio Zagreb.
