UEFA has assigned Croatian referees to roles in three European competition matches this week. A total of 13 Croatian referees and VAR officials will participate in these encounters, led by Patrik Kolarić and Ante Čulina as main referees and Ivan Bebek in the role of VAR referee.
Patrik Kolarić will referee the Europa League match between Ararat-Armenia and AZ Alkmaar in Yerevan, which kicks off at 18:45. He will be assisted by Luka Pajić and Ivan Starčević, while Ivan Vukančić will serve as the fourth official. Fran Jović and Tihomir Pejin will work in the VAR room for that match.
Ante Čulina has been appointed as the main referee for the Conference League clash between Danish side AGF Aarhus and Albanian side Egnatia. The match is played in Randers from 21:00. Čulina’s assistants will be Dario Kolarević and Kristijan Novosel, Mateo Erceg will be the fourth official, and Mario Zebec and Ivan Vučković will be the VAR referees for the game.
Ivan Bebek will perform the duties of VAR referee in the match between Sturm and Marseille in Graz, which starts at 18:45. The main referee for that match will be Serbian Nenad Minaković, and Bebek’s assistant in the VAR room will be Slovenian Matej Jug.
The schedule confirms the continuous trust of the European football organisation in Croatian referees, who will cover three different matches in two European competitions this week.
