The Government of Croatia is preparing to officially set new fuel prices, a move planned for Monday. This measure is implemented through the regular mechanism for setting maximum retail prices, which applies to a seven-day period. The aim of this approach is to ensure market stability and transparency of costs for end consumers during the specified period.
According to available information, the current price of standard Euro diesel is 1.75 euros per litre. In relation to the previous period, a drop in price of 11 cents has been recorded. This adjustment reflects changes in international raw material markets, which directly impacts the final price at petrol stations. A similar trend is visible with blue diesel, the price of which has also decreased by 12 cents in relation to the previous state.
On the other hand, the price of Euro 95 petrol has remained stable at 1.66 euros per litre. Although it is the same product, the difference in price between different types of fuel remains, which is the result of specific production, taxation, and distribution costs. Consumers using vehicles with gas power have access to a cheaper option, given that blue diesel remains at a lower level compared to standard petrol blends.
This price dynamic has a significant impact on vehicle maintenance costs for citizens. Given that prices change every seven days, drivers must be aware of current market conditions in order to optimise their costs. The government continues to monitor the situation on the market, with the aim of ensuring stability and fairness in the pricing system.
