Kastv will host two events on beekeeping, honey quality and consumer education on 16 and 17 October, local sources have told.

On Thursday, 16 October, the 15th National Conference on the Safety and Quality of Bee Products will take place. The conference will begin at 9.30 at the address of Trg Lokvin 3, and this year will carry the subtitle 'Fifteen Years On'.

The conference is designed as a review of Croatian beekeeping since the first gathering in 2011. Over the past fifteen years, the conference has tracked changes in legislation, the development of analytical methods and the growing demands associated with the safety, quality and authenticity of bee products. The focus is also on linking beekeeping practice with science and the exchange of experience among producers, experts and other participants in the sector.

The day after, on Friday, 17 October, at 10:00 the eighth edition of the 'Green-Blue Beekeeping Orientation 2026 – When Green and Blue Croatian Beekeeping Meet' event will take place in the Town Hall. The programme is open to the public, and its aim is to introduce consumers to different types of honey from coastal and continental Croatia, as well as the ways in which honey can be adulterated.

Three zones will be set up. In the Blue Zone, honey from coastal Croatia will be presented and tasted, while in the Green Zone, honey from continental Croatia will be presented. The black zone will be dedicated to the most common adulterations of honey on the Croatian market. Participation in the programme is free.
