The Fit Future Croatia 2026 conference will take place on 3 and 4 October in Palazzotto Moise on the island of Cres. The event, dedicated to training, nutrition and health, brings together experts from the academic community, sport and the fitness industry.

Over the course of two days, participants will be able to listen to lectures, take part in workshops and panel discussions. The aim is to introduce them to current scientific findings and their application in everyday work with clients. The conference is presented by the organizers as the first of its kind in the region, with a special emphasis on linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

The programme is designed for trainers, kinesiologists, nutritionists and physiotherapists, and due to the boutique concept, the number of participants is limited to 100. The ticket price is 189 euros, while early bird tickets have already sold out. More information about the programme, speakers and registration is available on the conference’s official website, fitfutureconference.com.

The first day of the programme will focus on biomechanics, the development of muscle mass and the principles of quality training programming. The lecture will cover the scientific approach to hypertrophy and body recomposition, the selection of levers and angles of exercise, and the ways in which appropriate muscular stimulus can be achieved while reducing the risk of injury. A part of the programme will be devoted to the analysis of popular exercises and fitness trends on social media, as well as the differentiation between methods that have a scientific and practical basis and those that are based primarily on popularity. Participants can expect a practical workshop with a demonstration of corrective exercises, as well as a discussion on performance-enhancing substances and their impact on the fitness industry. One of the topics will also be the way in which trainers can approach clients who are exposed daily to unrealistic standards of appearance and the presentation of results on social media.

On the second day, the focus will shift to nutrition, metabolism, psychology and the business aspect of training. The lectures will cover the impact of nutrition, sleep quality and stress on metabolic and hormonal processes, including insulin, cortisol and testosterone, as well as the possibilities of applying this knowledge in working with clients. A special topic will be the recognition of body image issues in clients and the approach to working with individuals, with more attention paid to the psychological aspect of training and nutrition. The programme also includes topics on longevity, the preservation of health and physical performance in old age, as well as the development of training businesses and the building of personal brands.

A total of 15 speakers will take part in the conference, from Croatia and the region. Among them are doctors of science, kinesiologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, trainers and athletes. Confirmed speakers include high performance coach Marino Bašić, Dr. Karlo Marković, Associate Professor Dr. Hrvoje Vlahović, specialist in physiotherapy and sport for people with disabilities, and Dr. Sebastijan Orlić, who specialises in nutrition, sports performance and longevity. Also participating are Master of Kinesiology and strength and conditioning coach Tomislav Bišćan, Professor of Kinesiology Maja Ćustić, Dario Ćo, whose focus is working with pain conditions and body recomposition, Croatian gymnast, trainer and international referee Marko Jovičić, multiple champion of Croatia, trainer and nutritionist Marko Kovačić, nutrition and lifestyle educator Mirko Logožar, and Tedi Fućak.

The conference’s organiser, Milan Petrović, points out that one of the main goals of the event is to provide a space for professional development based on verified information and the exchange of experience. “We believe that education based on verified facts is something that is lacking in our area. There are practically no such events, but the need is great, so we have created a place where the profession gathers without noise and learns from people who apply knowledge daily in practice,” said Petrović.
